About My Clients
As your therapist, my goal is to ensure your needs are met and that you feel seen and supported. I specialize in working with individuals with OCD and/or anxiety, people-pleasing tendencies, children of immigrants, and those working to break generational cycles. If you're interested in exploring how we can work together, I’d love to hear from you and answer any questions over a 15-min consultation call. You can email me at taramontazeritherapy@gmail.com.
My Background and Approach
I’m an Iranian-American daughter of immigrants, therapist who lives with OCD, dog mom, and individual with people-pleasing tendencies, working on setting more boundaries and tuning into my needs. I bring my personality into the room and show up authentically with clients, creating a space for them to do the same. I work with a relational and person-centered approach, viewing the therapeutic relationship as a key part of the healing process. I bring warmth, connection, laughter, and shared experiences into the space. My goal is to create an empathetic, non-judgmental, validating environment where clients can show up authentically at their own pace, while also being gently challenged when helpful.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I approach my practice from a diverse cultural perspective, recognizing how systems and generational influences shape our interactions with and experiences of the world. My work is fully inclusive of LGBTQIA+ and diverse communities, while acknowledging the systemic issues that impact clients and their mental health. My goal is to advocate for clients' rights both inside and outside of sessions.
