As an individual who has dealt with social anxiety, and the avoidance of, I can understand how the thought of going to a family function, going out with friends, or attending a mandatory work function can make the mind start racing, heart beat fast, and the fear rise. Together, we can identify strategies to help reduce and manage the fear that social anxiety causes for you to be able to enjoy and look forward to attending social occasions with family and friends.
My Background and Approach
My focus in therapy is utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy. My aim in therapy is to guide you in identifying the connection between your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors and how they can dramatically impact every area of your life. For the past 4 years, I have been focused on providing the tools you need to manage anxiety and depression. I have taken several continuing education training to keep abreast of the latest techniques to help with anxiety and depression. Together, we will create goals to help in your journey to manage anxiety and depression so you can build the resiliency needed to battle these in the future.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all lives matter, no matter the race, ethnicity, sexual preference, religious/spiritual preference; God loves everyone. My values are to not judge anyone for who they are and believe in engaging with everyone where they are at in their lives. The Lord states, "Do Not Judge Lest Ye Be Judged" (KJV; Matthew: 1).
