About My Clients
I specialize in anxiety, grief, LGBTQ, and medical issues, including mind-body connection. I align with all religions, races, sexual and gender identities, and cultures. I see everyone's true self as fundamentally healthy and unharmed, although it doesn't usually feel that way because of past pain. I always work to help people see their own inner goodness and health. We face a lot of pain in our lives, but we can find healing and peace.
My Background and Approach
Since I am a human being, I also have gone through plenty of hurt and pain. It's part of the human condition. However, I have also found a great deal of healing, which is my joy to foster in others. I am always drawn to therapies that affirm human goodness and health. I have a master's degree in social work and am a licensed clinical social worker, which enables me to have a psychotherapy practice. At the moment, I do all sessions online through a very secure platform. I accept several major insurances, and I can lower my fee somewhat if you don't have insurance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a spiritual person, however, I never make it a requirement that a client should have any spiritual beliefs. I respect all religions and also those with no religion at all. Since I have gone through much grief in my life, I find it a privilege to sit with someone in grief. Since I have many friends, clients, former clients, and relatives in the LGBTQ community, I align with it strongly. I have faced major anxieties in my life and therefore love to help others with that misery. I have dealt with scary medical diagnoses with a combination of conventional and alternative methods, as well as recognizing our mind/body connection, and I never judge anyone's choice of healing methods. I align with Black Lives Matters, and the LBGTQ community. I also support the Asian community, Hispanic community, and Native American community. I am a mother and grandmother with a great deal of life experience. I enjoy the arts, gardening, and being with friends.
