About My Clients
Supporting adolescent ages 7+ in learning how to take care of their big emotions such as sadness, stress, or unexpected life situations. It’s tough stuff to be a young ones; navigating the social scene, finding independence, hormones, or what college you’ll be going to. I enjoy supporting individuals who identify as Asian/American, struggling from the external pressures and expectations that prevent you from enjoying your authentic self.
My Background and Approach
Ever since my early internship days as a graduate student at California State University, Sacramento, I've discovered my joy and genuine passion in working with adolescent through young adult ages. In 2014 I graduated with my Master of Social Work, further developing and practicing my skillset in working as a individual, child and family therapist throughout the Silicon Valley, I obtained my professional license with the State of California Board and Behavioral Sciences in 2017. In 2021, I opened my private practice, with the goal of supporting our communities who are having difficulty accessing available mental health therapists. In my practice, I prefer an eclectic style of therapeutic modalities, as every individual is unique with what brings them in. I hold this space for you to feel welcomed and safe, to be able to process your personal life experiences and circumstances. My goal is support you towards cultivating alignment with your personal goals and values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy is a vulnerable process, and I honor that. The therapy process reminds me a lot like a beautiful contemporary dance- challenging through every step, yet oh so rewarding when you've mastered the steps. There may be many times you may want to raise your closed fists in the air with rage and quit, and once in a while, there will be experiences in therapy that brings a smile to your face or if you're like me, nod ferociously at your alignment with a self-discovery. I welcome your process of 2 steps forward and 3 steps back, and I honor the opportunity to support your growth.
