I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, able to work virtually with any Texas-based client and in-person in San Antonio.
Associate Marriage & Family Therapist in ,
Supervised by Dr. Jason Northrup, PhD, LMFT-S
While I'm trained in Narrative, Solutions Focused, and Collaborative Therapies, I draw on other therapies to fit the unique needs circumstances of each client. For example, a client coming in with issues stemming from years of childhood abuse may require a different approach than another client coming in with life transition issues. My approach is integrative and flexible to meet the needs of each client.
I completed my clinical internship at the Rape Crisis Center, where many of the clients I saw came from backgrounds of intergenerational abuse and trauma. Though the grips of intergenerational abuse and trauma can be strong, I have seen that it is a cycle that can be broken, and it is one of the great privileges of a therapist to be able to be part of a client's journey to break this.
As a systemic therapist, relationship issues is my main focus. In my work with couples, I use the Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy, having received advanced training in both.
Trauma can affect people in different ways. I work with clients struggling with acute, chronic, or complex trauma.
In my work with couples, I draw on Emotionally Focused Therapy, in conjunction with the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, having received advanced training in both.
