About My Clients
Is anxiety, depression, and/or anger affecting your life? You made it to this point, so acknowledge your strength for taking the first step. Maybe ... you're having difficulties talking to your spouse or your family. Together we can seek common ground again, and back on a healthy path. Most can start seeing improvements in as little as 4 sessions. At ELEOS Psychology Center we are dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and adults find their courage and their calm.
My Background and Approach
You know yourself best, no one can make decisions for you better than you, and you will be challenged during sessions to tap into that knowledge. Often we forget that we are an interactive holistic system, not only mind and body connectedness but also the system we live in. Together we can rediscover and learn more about those systems and ourselves. I am Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), EMDR, Family System, Somatic, Gottman Method, EFT, Internal Family Systems, and Attachment-based trained. The threads that run through all my approach are Trauma-Focused, Psychodynamic, and Systems. During a session, I will utilize a few techniques listed above, based on the presenting stories.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all have strengths that need rediscovering. We are all different, and each of our stories is unique. I came from a refugee family, and trauma runs through our family system. I languished a lot as a young adult. My parents and older siblings experienced traumas directly through the war, which affected them in different ways, while I experienced those traumas generationally and indirectly. Through therapy, I was able to understand my story, re-write it, and found purpose.
