About My Clients
Do you notice a disconnect lingering between your child and others… maybe even you? Do you struggle to understand why your child is acting out of character or doing things they shouldn’t be doing? Are you finding it difficult to be there for them in ways that are helpful? I am passionate about helping adolescents and young adults explore healthy ways to express themselves.
My Background and Approach
My goal is to help clients build skills to work through their difficult thoughts and emotions in ways that are congruent to who they are and how they truly feel. I use a combination of trauma-informed and humanistic approaches to help my clients identify and address their unhealthy coping mechanisms in order to live a more fulfilling life. I have experience working with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, learning disabilities, physical abuse, sexual abuse, grief, neglect, and low self-esteem. I value sincerity and strive to build a strong therapeutic relationship through trust, respect, consistency, and humor.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe through consistent support and guidance, we are all capable of becoming our most authentic selves. Together we can work to hone in on your strengths and decrease your unhealthy patterns that you feel are hindering you. I truly value the expression of vulnerability and appreciate the space that others allotted me to be myself and speak my mind in ways that the outside world did not always allow me to.
