The world around us has evolved much faster than our brains. Unfortunately, this means we might perceive social situations similar to a bear chasing us- with the fight or flight response and a whole bunch of anxiety. I use psychoeducation, exposure therapy, and CBT to treat social phobias. We'll learn about anxiety and the brain, discuss and challenge your fears, and eventually take them head-on through exposure therapy. We can do this together!

Treating panic is hard, but not complicated. I use a combination of psychoeducation, CBT, and exposure therapy to break this scary cycle. First, we'll learn why panicking is entirely normal, and part of the brain's fear response system. Then, we'll challenge those fears using CBT and exposure therapy. We'll debunk myths that tell you, "I'm going to go crazy. I'm going to pass out." Throughout treatment, you'll regain confidence in your ability to handle panic and return to feeling like yourself.

I use a combination of psychoeducation, ERP, and person-centered therapy to help you overcome your obsessive thoughts and compulsive urges. We'll begin by exploring the ins and outs of your particular subtype of OCD, and discuss the biological and learned components of the disorder. Then, we'll get creative. We'll use an exposure hierarchy to work, together, through difficult situations. Lastly, we'll look inwards and discover why the hard work is worth it, and how to make it sustainable.
