About My Clients
Are you feeling unsure of what the future holds? Struggling with a life transition? Think your day is “too busy” to get anything done? My passion lies in helping young women navigate these very questions. It’s understandable and normal that people need help working through life’s challenges. My specialties include college-aged women, post-college twenty-somethings entering the workforce, and women in their 30s & 40s. I also work with family members of loved ones with legal charges.
My Background and Approach
It’s my goal to support you on this journey of navigating life’s challenges in hopes of creating a better and deeper understanding of yourself. I believe that through this understanding comes healing, growth, and an ability to help identify and express your emotions. I want to help you find confidence, peace, and self-compassion. I use a trauma informed approach alongside person-centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Family systems theory and attachment theory are the pillars of my work. I have spent five years studying and working in family systems. I approach my work with curiosity, humility, and humor (sometimes we just need to laugh a little). My goal is to create a welcoming and nonjudgmental space where you feel safe and empowered to express your thoughts and feelings. Through a collaborative approach, I strive to create a compassionate and sincere therapeutic relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that no matter our background, we should all be treated with kindness and respect and have opportunities to change. Therapy has helped me tremendously in my own life and I hope to provide that same guidance and care to others. I have a dog and two cats and am usually covered in pet hair (although never without a lint roller!). I'm happiest when I'm active, drawing, or watching reality TV.
