I help couples who struggle with conflict learn how to connect so they can stop fighting and start communicating. How I Can Help You
All therapists are different. Here’s a little about what you can expect when you work with me. First, we’ll explore what’s happening in your relationship. We’ll talk about the challenges, problems, and conflicts you’re facing, as well as your strengths and your hopes for the future. We’ll also set goals and make a plan. Next, we’ll use that plan to figure out what tools, skills, and techniques will help the most. Together, we’ll work on learning and practicing these new skills, and we’ll figure out what’s working in your relationship and what’s not. We’ll also explore any deeper issues or conflicts that are getting in the way of making the changes that matter most. Then, we’ll spend time building upon your strengths. That might mean learning how to prioritize your relationship, finding new ways to connect, or talking through old memories. Finally, we’ll create a plan to make these positive changes permanent.
Why I am a Good Fit for You
I became a therapist because I know that therapy works. Therapy changed my life, it helped my marriage, and it taught me how to be a better parent. And, I know it can help you, too. I’ve been a therapist for almost 15 years, and I specialize in working with couples and relationships. I received my masters from the University of Chicago, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I know relationships are hard, and won’t judge you if you and your partner are struggling. I love working with couples, because I get it. I’m a wife, a mom, a therapist, and a business owner, so I understand how hard it is to maintain a strong relationship while juggling real life. I also understand how easy it is for couples to drift apart, and how overwhelming it feels when you’re not sure how to fix things.
