About My Clients
My specific areas of expertise include utilizing play and creative expression for children and early teens who are navigating life transitions, coping with illness or trauma, preparing for medical procedures or visits, or managing feelings due to the recent loss of a family member, friend, or loved one. I also work with children who have special needs.
My Background and Approach
Play and Art therapy are proven and effective alternatives to traditional talk therapy. When children have big feelings, they often don't have words that can help them navigate their thoughts. As a result, we often see these manifested in behaviors. All behavior is communicative and as a play and art therapist, I utilize the child's natural language of play to help them explore feelings and appropriate means of navigating tough situations.
