About My Clients

I provide counseling and therapy services to teens and adults living with a range of mental health issues from anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions as well as mood and personality disorders and interpersonal relationships. I utilize evidence practices with specialties in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and mindfulness. To look for a therapist is a step towards healing. This step takes vulnerability and courage. You've built momentum. Keep going.

My Background and Approach

As a yoga teacher in my other life, I include an emphasis on mindfulness and breath awareness along with coping skills in my therapy practice. Through studying at Bastyr University, I've learned biopsychosocial spiritual theories which means I look at my clients through a holistic lens and recognize that you are not your anxiety/depression/stress/issue and that you are also a part of a system. My goal is to identify interventions that would be beneficial for you and collaboratively create a network of resources and tools for you to have at your fingertips to make your life a little, if not a lot, easier. I have experience treating individuals from kiddos and teens to adults in therapy using evidenced-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, trauma focused cognitive therapy, and mindfulness. Together we build resilience through trust and practice of specific skills.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a white cis-woman who grew up in a mostly homogenous small town, I reflect on my own privilege in my community and utilize my voice as an ally to learn and grow with those immediately around me. I am thankful to peers, clients and friends who continue this journey with me and keep me accountable for what is my responsibility to learn and do. Learning about racism and how it affects each of us is important as well as understanding that hate cannot make someone less ignorant. I invite compassionate conversations to create an environment of growth and learning for those who continue to argue "all lives matter."

I offer online counseling in the following states:
