About My Clients
I have experience working in Community-Based and School-Based Mental Health settings and Therapeutic Mentoring. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups. I have helped individuals with family and parenting support, stress and life management, improving mood, increasing self-esteem, gaining assertiveness, and using healthy communication to improve relationships.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University. I approach counseling from Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment, Narrative, and Strengths-Based approaches. She also specializes in Art Therapy and uses it, when clients are willing, as an alternative way to help people communicate, process experiences, gain insight, and make positive changes. I understand it takes strength and courage to lean into a desire to participate in therapy and attempts to understand individual needs and hopes for the experience.
