About My Clients
Ideal client/s? I'm not sure they exist...and if they do, this would apply to anyone willing to seek therapy/counseling! My desire is to aid anyone interested in directly confronting issues they face, be it through therapy and any other accompanying supports that they identify with my help or independently. However, if I'm to be completely transparent, my therapeutic "direction" is toward serving those with histories of trauma, depression, and complications concerning personal identity.
My Background and Approach
I'm an eclectic practitioner, which simply means that I pull from multiple sources in order to provide you with a meaningful and transformative counseling journey. So, my therapeutic work includes evidence-based modalities--cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, DBT skills, grounding and mindfulness techniques, etc.--and casual, everyday supports like music, exercise, reading, and others. I've found that utilizing as many sources as possible, especially a diverse set, has allowed clients to feel that therapy is organic and personalized, not a cookie-cutter, clinical experience.
