I take an Internalized Oppression framework approach to therapy, which identifies the core needs (belonging, safety, trusting their thinking and feeling, power, love, and hope) that individuals did not receive earlier in life. These core needs are essential for the individual and couples to living their most authentic and confident selves. Through the therapeutic alliance, I focus on providing the space for them to experience these core needs while working on their presenting concerns.

Attachment is at the heart of how we form connections with one another. It informs the way we perceive ourselves and others. I have read books on Attachment Theory, encountered coursework in applying attachment theory in therapy, and use Attachment Theory in order to help individuals and those in relationships find clarity in why they are experiencing the disruptions that they are and practice steps to earn secure attachment with one another.

I currently work at a Sex Therapy Group Practice seeing couples with varying sexual orientations, sexual identities, family dynamics, and years spent together who experience diverse relational issues: communication challenges, sexual dysfunction, desire discrepancy, unmet needs, disrupted attachment, and other mental health diagnoses in the system.

Anxiety is present in nearly all of the clients I've worked with to some degree. Sometimes anxiety occurs chronically in the system that surrounds them and sometimes it's within. I help clients identify anxiety in their body and within their thoughts and recognize when anxiety has taken root where it is not needed. Clients find relief when we find ways to challenge anxiety tailored to them.

I help clients identify anxiety in their body and within their thoughts through mindfulness-based interventions and psychoeducation on cognitive distortions & automatic negative thoughts. Then teach clients ways to practice managing/coping/challenging anxiety. Sometimes anxiety occurs chronically in their social system and sometimes it's within.

I am a Sex Therapist pursuing full certification at Antioch University in Seattle. I've taken coursework that allows me to identify and treat sexual dysfunctions as well as learn best practices for helping individuals and couples navigate diversity in sexual expression. In addition, I've attended a Sexual Attitudes Reassessment course to challenge my internal biases as it relates to sex and sexuality in order to minimize harm to clients.

I am a Sex Therapist helping individuals and couples navigate a variety of areas of sexuality: sexual dysfunction, low desire, sexual shame, premature ejaculation, sexual communication, sexual pain, changes in attraction, polyamory, BDSM and kink.
