Therapy that’s as real as motherhood itself. This isn’t about “positive vibes only” or pretending that a bubble bath will solve your burnout (although an “everything shower” WOULD be nice). Together, we'll unpack the unrealistic expectations and societal BS that make you feel like you're not enough. We'll explore those heavy feelings—guilt, resentment, identity loss—and toxic family patterns, tackling them head-on. And since I'm virtual, we can do this from your car, your couch, wherever

I work best with adolescents and adults who are seeking a compassionate and genuine therapy relationship to understand themselves, regain or build personal strength, and make choices to have the life they want. Growth takes place within this curious and supportive relationship, often by developing a deeper sense of the themes or patterns in their life, learning what is unchangeable, knowing how you understand yourself and your worth, and changing beliefs you have that interfere with your life.
I work primarily with queer Black women who want to focus on anxiety, depression, and how colonization has impacted their life. My work focuses on pleasure, sensuality/sexuality, racial and biracial identities, intuition and body energy, fashion, radical acceptance, and humor.

I can help you work through these struggles, as well as issues related to anxiety, depression, and stress. Stress has a tendency to build up over time and can then appear in your life as depression, anxiety, or even other health-related issues, often negatively impacting your relationships and overall life satisfaction.
I entered graduate school in 2005 with a passion for understanding and learning to help relieve, a wide range of anxiety disorders in both youth and adults. When choosing a dissertation I had the opportunity to explore ways to support male same-sex couples efforts to maintain their romantic relationships. During my postdoc I provided care to combat Veterans with PTSD. My current practice involves the delivery of evidence-based therapies across these three areas.
