You may be the parent of a teen trying to find support for your child, or you may be in your 20's trying to sort out painful experiences you've had and where you hope to go. You may be looking for family therapy with an experienced therapist who can help to sort out difficult dynamics and conflict. I believe that you are the expert on yourself, and together, we can work on reconnecting with that "you" at your best. At times, we lose sight of ourselves; we take on too much, we skip meals, sacrifice sleep, and simply don't take care of ourselves. We lose our connection to our innate "superpowers" and we need to reset, reboot and restart. We will address self-care, sleep hygiene, mindfulness, boundary setting, and exploring and increasing wellness in your life.
My goal in therapy is to walk alongside you on this journey, to be a guide and helper. I believe that every person is an expert in their own life. I see therapy as a space to redefine one’s core beliefs – I am unlovable, I am unworthy – and create positive change.
I am very gentle in my approach, even when we work through painful and uncomfortable issues. It is important to me that I respect my clients’ pace in the journey. That’s why I actively look for feedback and adjust if needed. My clients usually seek me because of my cultural background, ability to connect beyond their preferred language, and commitment to their wellbeing.
I am present, supportive, and will hold space for the patient to feel safe. I come from a Humanistic and Jungian approach in which we will build insight and tend to your strengths in order to stimulate the growth of Self. Within therapy, we will connect the mind, body, and soul.
My approach to therapy is collaborative and driven by your unique goals for personal growth and well-being. I often use CBT approaches that help to increase emotional understanding, identify types of thinking and behaviors that may no longer be working for you, and develop and strengthen coping skills. My goal as a psychologist is for you to feel a greater sense of freedom in your life to make choices and to live in a way that is consistent with your values.

My aim, above all else, is to be empathetic and client-focused. It’s hard to help without first having an understanding, and regardless of my credentials, you are the expert on you. I work to understand you and your needs as best as possible so that we can tackle your goals in a meaningful way.

My clients are looking to make specific changes in their lives and want an interactive therapist to help provide insight, as well as specific tools and strategies for coping and, ideally, transformation. I frequently work with people around boundaries, trauma, anxiety and depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, and issues related to chronic pain and illness.
Existing as a queer person is hard. I get it! I specialize in somatic and relational therapy for queer and trans adults and parents who've been through hard things and feel disconnected, small, and exhausted. Maybe this resonates for you! You want to show up in life as your full, messy, and authentic self. You're done and you're ready for more. More connection with yourself. More liberation from old wounds. And more joy in the life you're living right now.
You're exhausted & drained, and you desperately crave a meaningful life beyond the grind of overwork, anxiety, autopilot, and trauma. You're out here doing your best, but let's be honest, you're living through one unprecedented historical event after another - just trying to survive. You’re here because you know the key to your happiness and meaning in this life is to work through that deeper childhood & intergenerational trauma, unlearn some harmful internalized messages, and reclaim your life.

I love working with teens and adults who are looking to unstuck themselves and who are interested in going deep. Let's co-create a warm and safe environment for you to get to know yourself better, uncover core beliefs about yourself and the world, and use them to your advantage. As a somatic therapist, I'll support you in bridging the gap between your mind, body, and feelings through talk, mindfulness exercises, and if you're open to it, sandtray or bodywork.
You are not broken or damaged. You may, however, be acting based on events from your past that remain encoded in your nervous system. Let's work together to treat the source of your symptoms and achieve lasting change. It is a privilege to be part of someone's healing journey. I would be honored to be a part of yours. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions, or to discuss your therapy goals.
