Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a brain disorder that is typically characterized by a lack of impulse control, an inability to focus and pay attention, and hyperactivity. ADHD most commonly emerges in children and teens and can continue into adulthood. In fact, ADHD is the most common mental health disorder diagnosed in young people and sufferers often have trouble paying attention in school. ADHD must be diagnosed by a qualified clinician. In addition to medical interventions, seeing a mental health practitioner who specializes in the treatment of ADHD can help patients and their families better cope with many of the symptoms. You've achieved so much — earned your degree, built a thriving career, and maybe even found your partner. Yet, beneath it all, you're grappling with lingering questions: Am I truly enough? Is it okay to be me? What's holding me back from feeling truly loved and valued? And where exactly am I headed in this wild journey of life?
This fast-paced world is weighing you down, and you feel like you can't keep up. You're drowning in a sea of self-help advice and you don't understand why none of it works for you. The influx of mental wellness trends are overwhelming and exhausting to follow. Your well-meaning rituals fade, making you feel incompatible with the people around you. The hectic demands of daily living are impossible to meet. The voice in your head keeps screaming, "Why can't I breathe?"

Chances are, if you're reading this, you are already noticing there are behaviors or patterns in your life you think could be better, and think it could be helpful to talk to someone about them. Someone who's not a friend, parent, teacher, or co-worker; someone who is impartial, someone with nothing to gain from you going one way or another. Engaging in counseling is a brave choice, and I am here to give space to your burdens so that you can continue on your journey that much lighter.

I enjoy working with clients of all ages who hold multiple minority identities and are seeking identity development, trauma therapy, or parent training. Many of my clients have jokingly described me as a "process consultant" and "professional poker". I can treat a range of mental health concerns but highly enjoy serving the local LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent community. I have experience writing letters in support of gender-affirming medical interventions (e.g., hormone treatment and surgery).
