About My Clients
I enjoy helping others find meaningful, authentic ways of connecting in their relationships and communities. Those I work with tend to feel a lack of connection in their life, whether from isolation or ways of connecting that aren’t authentic or free in expression. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process in which we get to recontextualize our experiences through truthful and empowering reframes.
My Background and Approach
In practice, I provide individual psychotherapy as well as conduct evaluations for individuals seeking letters of support for gender-affirming medical procedures. I specialize in working with transgender and nonbinary individuals, autistic people, and people with ADHD. Additionally, I am trained to address a wide variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and gender dysphoria. I work with youth and adults. Our lives are shaped by the stories that we carry with us. Healing begins when we can safely share them with others. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are on your journey. I strive to create a space where my clients can enhance their relationships as they work through the confusion and discomfort associated with growth. I invite you to reach out to me to ask any questions you may have and confirm that I am a good fit for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Power, oppression, and privilege cannot be separated from therapy. For that reason, our discussions will naturally center your individual experiences. Therapy must also acknowledge the ways in which racism, heterosexism, sexism, and transphobia, ableism, and other systems of oppression influence those experiences. Additionally, these factors are also considered when discussing treatment goals and resiliency.
