About My Clients
In my practice, I most enjoy working with young adult and adult clients experiencing life transitions, grief and loss, relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, chronic and acute illness, and caregiver stress, particularly those caring for a parent.
My Background and Approach
As a social worker by training, I use a strengths-based approach, helping clients identify what innate abilities and qualities they can draw on in times of struggle. I also incorporate mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and creative modalities, depending on each client's needs and preferences. My past experience working as a hospital critical care social worker defined the importance of identifying values as a way to guide the choices we make down the road in pursuit of a full, meaningful life where we are able to accept the struggles that come with it. I aim to work collaboratively with you to help enact and sustain meaningful change that speaks to you specifically. Let’s work together to figure out how to map your new path forward.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal experience as a young adult caregiver for an acutely ill parent brought me to social work and therapy. I've since made it my mission to support caregivers--of all ages--and help them identify resources, set personal boundaries, develop coping skills, and strengthen their ability to advocate for themselves and their family.
