About My Clients
I work with individuals 18+ and couples seeking support for perinatal mental health and LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy. If you feel like you “have it all,” but you can’t shake this nagging feeling that something is missing, are overwhelmed trying to manage your multiple roles (parent, spouse, partner, friend, co-worker), or feel like you’re struggling to navigate fertility treatment as a queer person, get pregnant, be pregnant, or transition into parenthood, I can help.
My Background and Approach
After having my daughter and experiencing life as a parent, I felt a calling to specialize in using art therapy for perinatal mental health. I knew that supporting birthing and parenting people during pregnancy and early parenthood was important work. As a queer therapist, I understand that it can be essential to know that the therapy space is affirming. In addition to connecting with people during their perinatal experiences, I also work with individuals in the LGBTQIA+ community seeking support around mental health and identity exploration.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I do what I do at Alexandria Art Therapy because the world doesn't talk about perinatal and maternal mental health enough in an affirming space. I’m here to support you, and other folks like you, through these (often chaotic) years - to help you realize you aren't alone, what you’re feeling is common, and wellbeing is possible.
