About My Clients
Anxiety, depression, life transitions, burnout, grief and loss can be debilitating. The hardest part is taking the first step and asking for “help.” Most of us like to think of ourselves as independent, competent and “tough.” Asking for help and attending therapy doesn’t mean that we are not those things. At some point in life, we all struggle with painful life transitions, losses, difficult emotions and intrusive thoughts. I am here to help you not only cope but learn to how to heal and grow.
My Background and Approach
I am the founder of Shiloh Hill Counseling and have 12 years of experience working as a clinical therapist in various therapeutic settings with diverse populations. I believe in developing a deeper therapeutic relationship and you are not just another appointment on the schedule. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of San Francisco and completed my master’s degree in Clinical Social Work at the University of Denver. I specialize in working with adults and utilize various evidenced based interventions such as CBT, motivational interviewing, attachment theory, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness and DBT. Each of us brings a unique set of life experiences into the therapeutic relationship and I am a true believe in tailoring my therapeutic approach to the individual needs of each client; one size does not fit all. I look forward to walking with you on your therapeutic journey.
