Accepting Clients

I offer kind, creative counseling and workshops as a multi-cultural, queer, body-positive therapist who is down with weirdness.

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in Oakland, CA

About My Clients

The folks I tend to work best with are those who are committed to an exploratory process, trying things out, and are interested in experimenting. I've supported folks with navigating anxiety, unpacking identity, and rethinking relationships. I appreciate working with folks who like a good analogy or pop culture reference or pun as part of the therapeutic process. I try to be as much myself as possible while in the therapist role, and invite my clients' whole self to join us.

My Background and Approach

I’m an Expressive Arts Therapist, working in mental health for 1 years. In my work, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I often use visual arts to enrich and deepen the therapeutic experience. I often hear “All I can draw is stick figures!” but you’d be surprised what you can do when given the space and support. I’ve seen how having a broader range of tools for expression offers new insights and opportunities to challenge stuck ideas. And what’s so terrible about stick figures anyway? My purpose is to ensure that you feel supported, heard, and respected. My approach is curious and collaborative. I identify as a genderqueer multicultural person of color and as a fat-identified body positive practitioner. I am passionate about this work because I believe that change, healing, and growth are all possible, once we feel empowered and have the tools to write our own stories. I hope for the opportunity to learn more about yours.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
