About My Clients

I work with adolescents, individuals, couples and caregivers who are looking to deepen introspection and self-understanding. We will explore underlying challenges or barriers to reaching your goals and work through any blockages that come along the way.  My approach is focused on reflection to seek clarity and understanding any sensations that come up for you. Together we will work to move away from feelings like shame and guilt to make space for self-compassion, acceptance and growth.

My Background and Approach

I approach my sessions with a dynamic and interpersonal lens as we work together to explore your internal and external landscapes. Together, we will identify any barriers or unhelpful patterns of thoughts and behaviors, and then identify strategies and tools to help you disrupt unhealthy cycles. I believe in the power of authentic human connection and I employ a warm, direct, humanistic and solution-focused approach with clients. Our time together will focus on developing a deep understanding of who you are, what you want to work on in a judgment free environment that will help you engage in your work meaningfully and vulnerably. My background is in adolescent, family and trauma-recovery work. I have spent ten years working in New York City schools with youth, young adults and parents in addition to working with survivors of sexual trauma. I am a yoga teacher of seven years, believe in the power of mind-body connection and utilize somatic modalities if it's of interest to treatment.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

If you are new to therapy, you are welcome here! It can be an intimidating process to seek help - I hope to support your journey. With guidance, tools and resources, I believe everyone is equipped to living the life that they desire to have. I believe in the power of authentic human connection and employ a warm, direct, humanistic and solution-focused approach with clients. I provide identity-affirming treatment and approaching all of my work through an anti-oppressive lens.  Our time together will be built upon foundations of trust, mutual respect and an ongoing understanding of who you are, and what you want to work on in a judgment free environment that we can engage in meaningfully and vulnerably. In sessions, you should expect warmth, compassion, curiosity, a celebration of your wins and a gentle holding of your challenges. When I am not working with clients, I am frequently found at my pottery studio creating ceramics, cooking pasta at home or practicing at my yoga studio.
