There is not a certain amount of trauma that makes you an appropriate candidate for healing. I believe that pain is an inherent part of the human experience, and that every one of us can benefit from investing in our healing journey. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, and connection to self.
My Background and Approach
My work is informed by psychoanalytic theory, somatic processing, and mindfulness. I offer individual counseling sessions, EMDR sessions, group therapy and seasonal trauma-informed group yoga classes. My specialties include anxiety, depression, low self-worth, sexual trauma, substance and process additions, exploring spirituality and faith transitions. While traditional therapy is cool, I believe that by integrating physical movement, neuroscience, and spiritual practices into your healing you can more quickly come home to the truest, most powerful version of yourself. This is why I offer therapeutic yoga and E.M.D.R. as well as traditional conversation-based sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life can break your heart. We are not meant to heal alone. The greatest honor my patients give me is their trust. They know I get it. They know that I hold hope and practical solutions until they can. There is always a path to clarity. There is always a way to love. There is always a way home, however you define it.
