You are important and you matter, and I will not tolerate you saying anything less.
Social Worker in Frisco, TX
I started a virtual therapy group focusing on how to pivot when in a life transition. The focus of the group was to take a look at what holds us back, what are new goals we’d like to have, and practical tips of reaching these goals.
I worked in a pediatric psychiatric program focusing on eating disorders in children and teens. For the last 2 years I have co-facilitated a hybrid virtual and face to face community eating disorder/ disordered eating group.
Anxiety tends to be one of the foundations of most mental health diagnoses. One of the areas I enjoy helping people with is finding ways to cope with and reduce anxiety. Spanning from the most debilitating forms to building confidence in social settings. I have worked with clients from the age of 12 to as young as 70.
I am certified in trauma focused CBT and use CBT to help clients recognize and understand the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The goal is for clients to remain in control rather than feeling like their emotions are taking control.
I take a person centered approach with all my clients. You are unique and the approach to your care should be the same.
