About My Clients
My clients often tell me that their thoughts are always in the past or in the future, that they are unable to be in the present moment and enjoy the life they have created. They want to let go of negative thought patterns and finally be able to mentally and physically relax. To learn to turn off the critical voice in their head, stop overthinking, and finally feel secure and confident. If these things sound all too familiar, I want you to know there is hope and relief is possible!
My Background and Approach
I have been working in the field of mental health and substance abuse for over 15 years and provide individual therapy to adult clients struggling with anxiety and the many precursors to and consequences of anxiety including stress, burnout, codependency, sleep problems and/or subtance abuse. I utilize a holistic and mind-body approach, using modalities such as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Therapeutic Nutrition, Brainspotting, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy alongside traditional therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When I’m not working, I enjoy reading (all things mystery and true crime), watching MMA, drinking ALL the coffee, and going on daily walks with my dog, Ali.
