My name is Amisha Gandhi, and I am a first-generation South Asian American who specializes in individual and couples therapy.
Associate Marriage & Family Therapist in Kirkland, WA
I have worked with pre-marital and marital counseling. I use Prepare & Rich, The Gottman Institute, and Emotionally Focused for all my therapy with relationships. I dive deep into what each person has to say by providing ample time to talk and listen to what the other person is trying to get out by communication, understanding, and empathy.
Career burnout and school burnout are serious, and I am here to help navigate your life by seeing what other ways we can work together to relieve this burnout. We will work together using collaborative theory to ease stress.
As someone who grew up with anxiety, I understand and empathize with my clients who go through this every day. I use collaborative theory and other modalities to help you navigate your anxiety and how it can help when issues arise and on an everyday basis.
Experiential therapy I use primarily with adolescents since their emotions are important and to understand that emotions are important. I allow my clients to speak from emotion since they have a lot to say and there is no judgment.
EFT for couples is an excellent source to use to help with couples since communication, understanding, and empathy are missing out of the relationship. I use primary and secondary emotions to have each person understand one another and to help interact and enhance the emotional bond.
Collaborative Therapy is a modality that is used commonly from me since many clients like to work together with their therapist to come up with ways to help them navigate through any issues. We generate new meanings about the problem and take new action to resolve problems.
