About My Clients
I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults exploring purpose, meaning and identity within their lives. This often includes processing past trauma and discovering an empowered sense of self within the context of our lives and experiences. No one is perfect - often, my therapy is about getting to know and accept yourself.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The University of Texas at San Antonio, my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Oregon, and I am fully licensed to practice counseling by the state of Texas (Licensed Professional Counselor License #82294). Life is complicated. Our bodies, minds, and relational worlds are connected in ways both seen and unseen. I am a counselor because I believe that the more we understand the layers of ourselves, our experiences and where we come from, the better equipped we are to navigate pain and challenges as they arise. I have extensive experience working in both school and community settings with children, adolescents, adults and couples managing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and interpersonal concerns. In my practice, I offer individual and couples counseling as well as consultation services.
