I specialize in work with older adults. Maybe you are caring for an ailing family member or longing to reconnect with your most authentic self after years of tending to others. You might be considering a transition to retirement, combating loneliness after the death of a spouse, redefining purpose, and building new relationships, or dealing with your own illness. Whatever the case may be, you deserve care that is focused on the unique needs of older adults.
My Background and Approach
My areas of specialty include second half of life, aging concerns, caregiving, end of life care, self esteem, grief, and life transitions. My approach to counseling is rooted in a belief in a collaborative and mutual relationship between client and counselor. My background includes experience working in a hospice agency, grief and bereavement center and community mental health agency.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Having the right support can help to rebuild a sense of hope and direction and can reconnect you with your most authentic self. Hard things happen in life and sometimes you just need a little extra support. I believe healing and change can happen when you have that support designed entirely for and about you – a space that feels like a sanctuary – safe and confidential. It can be scary to take the first step. Reach out today to schedule a free phone or video consultation and I’ll help to make that first step a little less daunting.
