About My Clients
You're finding yourself feeling overwhelmed and disconnected from life, others, and maybe yourself. You feel uncertain of your thoughts, wants, needs or what to do. Trauma can leave us feeling hopeless, exhausted, and alone. It can make us shut the world out, or put other's needs before our own in hope for solace. At times it can feel like change isn't possible, or if we just ignore it long enough it will resolve itself. If any part of you feels curious in what healing may be like, reach out.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic style is warm, laid back, comfortable, relatable, yet direct. I love to utilize humor and acceptance of ourselves, as we are, in this moment. My wish is for you to feel accepted and heard. My approach is mind-body heavy, focusing on tuning into what our bodies are telling us. I come from a clinical background in community mental health, rich with diverse populations, am culturally aware and sensitive, and am LGBTQ+ allied and affirming. I have extensive experience working with sexuality, anxiety/panic attacks, and trauma + complex trauma. In addition to these, I work with individuals and couples with relational/marital conflict, communication issues, and attachment styles. I am EMDR trained, and have formal training (above and beyond master's degree) in attachment theory, Somatic Experiencing, and TF-CBT.
