About My Clients

Being sensitive can feel like a blessing and a curse. On one hand, you may feel as though you experience the beauties of the world in a more profound way than others do. You’re likely a creative and empathic person, with a rich inner life. On the other hand, you may feel that being sensitive makes you more vulnerable to being hurt. Life’s many challenges can leave you feeling depressed, anxious, and alone.

My Approach to Helping

My primary goal in working together is to help you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings with me. By listening compassionately and without judgement, I invite you to open up in a way that feels safe for you. You’ll explore the connections between your past and present, and how your life experiences have shaped who you are today. As you begin to understand your own story in a more nuanced way, you will be in a better place to write the next chapter, with ever-increasing confidence that you are following your own unique path.

My Values as a Therapist

I use he/him/his pronouns. I welcome clients of all gender identities and sexual orientations, and those who are in a process of exploration. My work with women and people of color has given me insight into my privilege as a white cisgendered male. I make an effort to use this privilege to help undo racism and sexism, and to engage in dialogue when I inevitably make mistakes. I welcome clients of all racial, ethnic, national, religious, and caste backgrounds.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
I have experience with the following
  • Buddhism
  • Christianity
