About My Clients
My passion is to help individuals heal from trauma. By creating an open, safe, collaborative, engaging, and supportive environment the process of healing from trauma can begin. I specialize in working with teens and adults from all walks of life. I work with individuals who have experienced trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, stress and anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders.
My Background and Approach
In my work, I utilize an array of therapeutic interventions stemming from evidence-based models such as cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness, and dialectical behavioral therapy, while maintaining a culturally responsive, client-centered approach. About me: I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Health Administration, and I am now pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work. My previous work experience included teaching and mentoring individuals with disabilities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
When I am not working, I enjoy and participate in all things outdoors. I enjoy mountain hiking, biking, running, rock climbing, kayaking, and downhill skiing for sports. I believe that engaging in health and wellness empowers individuals and provides a guiding direction towards skillset development that then facilitates individual recovery and the change process. I would be glad and honored to welcome you, to assist you on your path toward self-discovery, growth, learning, healing, and recovery.
