Anxiety is the number one complaint among clients that I have counseled. Whether it's related to Trauma, unwelcome life situations or even a learned response, we can work to shrink those feelings and cope with less panic and more confidence. We will always work toward your goals with therapy that you are comfortable with!
Depression looks different for everyone and therefore we explore the possible reasons and, of course, solutions for coping and learning. I use a whole body/life approach: we examine current life situations and whole health, the relationships amongst all and work toward a path of recovery. Mindfulness, EMDR, Cognitive therapies and body movement are just examples of possible treatment methods.
I am a trained and experienced EMDR therapist, working with clients through Anxiety, Depression and Trauma. I've done additional EMDR training in order to use this method not only with Trauma and Anxiety, but also with depression and Grief.
I practice therapy by incorporating awareness, mindfulness, coping skills and exploring what works for you. I've had training in Trauma informed Yoga, Sleep issues, Substance Misuse, Attachment issues and more. I am a strong learner.
I use compassion, clarity and an open self-reflective attitude, striving to empower you to make changes and grow. I hold a commitment to help you experience life the way you want to. I am trained to treat Grief, Trauma, Anxiety with multiple of methods - call it eclectic - such as EMDR, mindfulness/meditation, body based movement, cognitive and talk therapy. I am comfortable with LGBTQ+ struggles, substance use struggles, suicide ideation and more. I love to learn more!
I have counseled and trained in grief therapy. I believe Grief is part of life and constantly changes us. I help clients realize coping and healing strategies to use for a lifetime. I have education credits in Grief therapy and continue learning.
