About My Clients

If your role as a helper has left you feeling lost, hopeless, and stuck- I get you. If the things you’ve seen cycle through your mind, keeping you up at night, and if you struggle to get out of bed in the morning to do it all over again- I hear you. If you’re feeling anxious or apathetic about your work or life in general and the smallest setback feels insurmountable- I know. If you find yourself feeling empty and withdrawing- I’ve been there. I see you and I'm with you.

My Background and Approach

We can process the toll your work has taken and assess how that fits into your life’s circumstances outside of your job. We will work on increased body awareness, connecting the ways you are feeling physically with your mind and brain. We will determine what it would take for you to feel restored and build coping skills that are specific to your experience. In addition, I also offer Neurofeedback through NeurOptimal. This gentle brain training can be beneficial to anyone and is an exceptionally useful tool for people seeking relief from the impact of their experiences but aren't feeling ready for talk therapy. I offer neurofeedback as a singular service and in conjunction with therapy, so we can design a therapeutic approach that feels right for you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Looking at my life, I recognize how much of my experience has been shaped by the helpers around me. I was raised by a firefighter, mentored by a social worker, my spouse is a first responder, and many of my closest friends are nurses, caseworkers, and educational professionals. What led me to creating Pathways is the pattern I’ve noticed amongst us: we do all that we can to support our community, yet we can let the burdensome loads we carry get us down before we realize what’s happening. Thankfully, I have learned the necessity of checking in with myself in order to be healthy enough to continue helping others. I want to help you do the same. When I am away from my office, I enjoy piddling around the barn with my horse, snuggling with my dogs, reading a good book in a cozy coffee shop, hiking in the mountains, or digging into creative processes- whether that’s art making, taking photos, writing, preparing a good meal, making my home more “homey”, or tending to my plant collection.
