I serve adults, couples, families, and adolescents ages 14 and older. I enjoy working with couples going through life stressors/transitions, individuals wanting to heal from racial or sexual trauma, as well as adolescents and young adults who are struggling with racial and/or adoption identities and attachment disorders.
My Background and Approach
I use a relational, client-centered, and strengths-based approach to create an emotionally safe space for personal growth and discovery. I also practice intersectionality and cultural responsiveness when working with marginalized and oppressed populations.
Prior to my work at Canopy Mental Health & Consulting, I spent 5+ years working at an adolescent day treatment. I also serve as a part-time Adjunct Faculty member for the School of Social Work at the University of Minnesota-Duluth where I teach "Anti-oppressive Social Work Practice."
