About My Clients

Are you seeking to better understand yourself? Are you looking to heal old wounds or past trauma? Are you ready to let go of the patterns that are bringing you down? You don't have to do it alone. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you're seeking a new beginning, I am here to help you move beyond feeling stuck.

My Background and Approach

I hold a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University. I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Currently, I am completing certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP Level II). As a trauma informed yoga teacher, I often incorporate mindfulness strategies and journal prompts into therapy sessions and help clients integrate these practices into daily life. I work from an intersectional feminist perspective with a deep understanding of the issues that impact women and the queer community. I help folks navigate life transitions, family dynamics, disordered eating habits, self identity, anxiety and PTSD. Many of my clients struggle with perfectionism, people pleasing and codependent relationships. I primarily work with women and queer identifying individuals. I see adolescents (15+) as well as individual adults and couples. I am a good fit for folks who are motivated to be in therapy.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone has a unique story to tell and that telling our stories can be a powerful means of self reclamation. I believe that everyone is capable of change. That said, we cannot change anything without first accepting things as they are - including ourselves! I am an advocate for self compassion and passionate about helping clients make peace with themselves. I believe that it is possible to unlearn the ways in which we were conditioned - to create new narratives and patterns of behavior - to release the mechanisms that we developed while in survival mode. No matter how stuck you may feel, I believe that together we can develop the tools required for you to live your best life. I work very collaboratively with my clients valuing transparency and authenticity within the therapeutic relationship. I am a Health at Every Size (HAESĀ®) aligned, firmly anti-diet culture and LGBTQ+ affirming provider. I am an advocate for body liberation and a queer identifying provider.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
