About My Clients
It could be that: You haven’t been able to sleep well since… Your mind starts racing as soon as you get into bed. You’ve suffered from constipation, diarrhea, or reflex for years. You want to build a new relationship with food and movement. You might notice that: You forget to breath during certain conversations. A pit of sadness is pulling at your stomach. Constant tension forms knots between your shoulder blades. You are not alone in these struggles!
My Background and Approach
I provide strength-based care to support individuals and communities in living more vibrant and values-aligned lives. My therapeutic approach is trauma informed and emphasizes caring for the whole person, reducing and repairing harm, and honoring the body's innate capacity to heal. I recognize that systems of oppression—for example, racism, anti-trans bias, anti-fat bias, and ableism—harm mental and physical health. As a naturopathic doctor, I am always thinking about addressing the root cause of mental and emotional symptoms, and may collaborate with your primary care provider to address underlying health conditions. I may also prescribe additional tools that can support healing, including botanical medicines and natural supplements, craniosacral therapy, hydrotherapy (using hot and cold water)
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing happens in relationship with others and with community, and I recognize the importance of repairing when harm is caused. I believe that people I work with are doing their best, and I believe that they can change and grow. I believe that care should be Health at Every Size aligned, weight-inclusive, trauma informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, culturally responsive, and rooted in anti-racism work. I am a white, Ashkenazi Jewish, queer, cisgender woman. I prioritize reading fiction, being in nature, singing, swimming, building community, and sustaining meaningful relationships.
