About My Clients
You may be here because you noticed patterns in your life that disrupt your relationships or leave you feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or hopeless. We can unpack the stressors weighing on you. I work with adults, couples, parents, and LGBTQ folks feeling anxious or disconnected. Therapy, in my view, is a trusting and collaborative partnership, so I want to know your concerns, what is meaningful in your life, and what support feels like to you.
My Background and Approach
As a systemic therapist, I am trained to see you holistically. That means I collaborate with you to explore patterns that show up in your relationships. Relationship patterns offer a map to help you heal and grow. My approach highlights family patterns, neglected parts of you, feedback in partnerships, attachment wounds, and embodied emotions. I will show up for you with compassion, questions, trauma-informed resources, communication tools, and an open mind. Mindfulness training is strong in my background and I am a good fit for those wanting: a fulfilling self-relationship, renewed connection as a couple, less family distress, to process grief, loss or trauma, less self-harming behavior, improved communication, or greater self-compassion. My clients often show up as adults/individuals, couples, or parents reconnecting with adult children. I welcome all relationship constellations and am neurodivergent-competent.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe those we care deeply for are mirrors that help us see the deepest parts of ourselves. There can certainly be dark days of depression, anxiety, burnout, conflict, and overwhelm in life for us all, which need supportive spaces to be processed. I find reconnecting clients with loved ones to be deeply rewarding. As a systemically trained therapist, I prioritize the impact of broader systems, such as family, culture, race, gender, economic status, and spiritual tradition. Racism, sexism, ableism, and other oppressions leave an imprint, so identifying their harm is part of healing. On a personal note, I come from a working-class family and have both a friendly small-town vibe and comfort in city multiculturalism too. I am part of the LGBTQ+ community and I spend my volunteer time supporting conservation efforts. I believe in self-care, community care, and earth care.
