About My Clients
All therapists have personality, my best clients are those who want to be their authentic selves, who are willing to be vulnerable & identify their needs while actively doing the work, communicating needs/improvements/changes/barriers, yet taking advantage of this space & the healing that can come through. My specialties are anxiety, depression, life changes, relationships, stress, communication, & solution focused.
My Background and Approach
I believe each person has a unique set of needs. My part is to meet you where you’re at: witnessing your story, taking the journey with you— on your terms. I’ve found that the more transparent & honest I am with my clients, the more comfortable/vulnerable they’re willing to be. My approach is relational based & client focused: where openness, feedback, & honesty are key components to our work together. My role is to support you in identifying needs/goals while setting a plan to obtain relief from aspects in your life that may be causing you harm or negative symptoms. While also helping you become aware of your patterns, understanding your boundaries through applying them; gaining coping skills, while also learning to listen, process, & support yourself through navigating life’s challenges.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I firmly believe that everything is relational. How you connect to others around you; how you’re connected to yourself & your needs; how you’re connected to the community & world around you; what are some of your challenges & barriers in life; how would you like to change things? Our time together is focused on you & your goals, where we spend our time addressing your wants. I believe in a humanistic approach, were I see you for you & I practice this in my life outside the office as well. I do not discriminate & welcome anyone to connect with me; If I'm not the right fit, I may know someone who is! I am involved & participate in conversations, regulations, & community actions that support the LGBTQIA+ community, BLM & reduction of racial hate platforms, access & advocacy to mental wellness, & Youth/Elder rights and resources.
