About My Clients
There are few things I believe stunt the excitement and vastness of the human experience more than toxic shame, lack of self-compassion and an unrelenting life of anxious worry. Maybe you are at the beginning of your therapy journey, slowly awakening to ways in which your current way of thinking and being is no longer serving you, or possibly our time together will be a continuation of the work you have already started. Either way, I am honored to be a part of your healing journey.
My Background and Approach
I have a Masters in Clinical Mental Health and am a National Certified Counselor. I have training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and Existential Therapy. I am trained in EMDR therapy. I also bring somatic body work into sessions when needed and helpful. I am trauma-informed, kink-informed, and am an LGBTQIA+ supporter and advocate as well.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of us working together. Without trust and feelings of safety and security, very little can be accomplished. I hold a non-judgmental space for you to explore your shame and self-judgment and grow your self-compassion and self-knowledge. I stand for everyone's right to exist on this planet and fight for the rights of those systemically oppressed. Our time together will be explorative, challenging, and affirming.
