About My Clients
Whether you are coming to see me for individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, or group therapy, as a systems-oriented practitioner I take into account the world you inhabit. There is no “one size fits all” approach when it comes to therapy, and I collaborate with clients to tailor the direction of the work to fit their unique needs.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Rochester Medical Center. Prior to establishing my private practice, I worked at counseling centers and hospitals treating families, couples, and individuals. I have also mentored a multidisciplinary team in the development of their counseling skills in addition to coordinating research related to motivation and well-being. In my private practice, I take an integrative approach to my work, blending psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, and family systems frameworks.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people are naturally oriented towards growth, but life’s challenges can cause you to lose your sense of direction and well-being. It can be difficult to find the way back to your path and I hope to be able to navigate that path with you collaboratively.
