I work to build a strong relationship with each client, one that promotes trust, awareness, and understanding. I see therapy as a collaborative effort in which we are equal partners who talk with each other rather than at each other, without any expectations or judgments. Rather than focus on only one theory, I utilize many theories and techniques depending upon my clients' needs. My approach begins with the underlying belief that how and what we think determines our beliefs, feelings, and actions. If we can identify and change our thinking patterns, we can often change our lives. Working together we can uncover and change any thinking and behavior patterns that may be holding you back from experiencing a more rewarding and meaningful life.
A large part of my practice has been focused on depression. Helping those who experience depression better understand the illness, the ways it impacts their lives, learn to manage their symptoms, and to see the amazing future that is possible.
