About My Clients
I have experience assisting those who are dealing with difficult life transitions such as entering young adulthood, recovering from disordered eating, early sobriety, and exiting long-term relationships. I am eager to work with individuals from various social and cultural backgrounds. My focus is to learn about my clients thoroughly, and assist them in a way that is specific to their needs.
My Background and Approach
As a first generation immigrant and woman of color, I have my own unique set of experiences that I feel can help me connect with individuals from all backgrounds. My goal is to create a safe, judgement-free space and assist others with making sustainable and meaningful changes that improve their quality of life. I believe people are a product of the personal, relational, societal, and economic forces that interact and impact their lives. I will meet clients where they are at and try to help in a way that is patient, supportive, and compatible with their needs. I do not see counseling as a “one size fits all.” Each client has their own needs and wants which should be considered when in session. I consider myself as I lifelong learner, and am always seeking scientifically backed interventions that I can utilize in my practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that with access to the right resources and opportunities, as well as guidance, any individual can accomplish their goals and lead enriched lives.
