About My Clients
My clinical interests include assisting individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorders, existential questions, and LGBTQ+ issues. A number of my clients work in the helping professions and/or the arts.
My Background and Approach
The foundation of my work is psychodynamic psychotherapy. This means that all the factors and experiences that have led to where you find yourself at this moment - both conscious and unconscious - are considered. Additionally, my approach is integrative, interweaving different modalities including mindfulness-based practices such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Before becoming a clinician, I worked as a middle school humanities teacher at a diverse, progressive school in Chicago.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I consider the relationship between therapist and client to be crucial to successful outcomes. Therefore, I make use of my innate kindness, curiosity, and sense of humor to foster a relationship built on trust, respect, empathy, and non-judgment.
