As a single mother myself, I understand the stress, guilt, fear, and grief that happens as a parent. As a clinician, I understand the importance of learning boundaries, self-compassion, self-love, anger management, and attunement to our kiddos and partners.
I have worked with depression for the last 3 years. My goal with depression is to help you find a way to stop any negative thought towards yourself and replace it with compassionate statements. I also tend to explore the depression itself to understand why it's there, how it affects the mind, and what it's protecting.
I have worked with anxiety in many forms: relationship, performance, social, conflict, and life changes. I hope to help make the physical sensation of anxiety less severe and use this energy to your benefit.
I am EFIT Level 1 certified. I focus heavily on how emotions impact our view of the world and the relationships in our lives. Many of us were taught to suppress our emotions, however, EFIT gives us a chance to relearn and reengage with our emotions for our benefit.
I believe in focusing on important relationships in the present day in conjunction with childhood exploration. Here we learn how to implement boundaries with others, communicate and listen to other people's experiences, and learn more about who we are in relation to others.
Emotions live in the body. I implement somatic therapy into my practice by helping you bring awareness of physical sensations of emotions to help better identify and express them.
