About My Clients
I provide individual psychotherapy for a broad range of adult mental health problems including depression, anxiety, work stress and relationship concerns. In addition, I have interests in trauma and PTSD, geriatric mental health, caregiver support, coping with chronic medical illnesses and insomnia. Couple's therapy is provided on a limited basis.
My Background and Approach
I earned a B.S. in psychology from the University of Florida in 1996 and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of North Dakota in 2003. I have over 15 years of experience and have practiced in a variety of settings. My past clinical work has included primary care and community mental health, inpatient psychiatry, residential PTSD treatment, outpatient PTSD treatment, geriatric mental health, and health psychology. I have also provided professional consultation to psychotherapists seeking expertise with PTSD. I am licensed to practice psychology in Florida and Minnesota, and I am a member of the American Psychological Association. My approach to psychotherapy is personalized, integrative and evidence-based, and focuses on tailoring the treatment to your particular circumstances. In-person visits are available at my relaxing office in Tampa Palms, FL and online therapy is available throughout Florida and Minnesota.
