About My Clients
I am passionate about working with children and teens and supporting parents wherever they are at in their journey. I see therapy as non-pathologizing and understand that life stressors and changes can have an impact on overall functioning. I enjoy working with anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD symptoms, peer relationship difficulties, emotion regulation difficulties, sleep issues, and those engaging in self-harm behaviors.
My Background and Approach
With creativity, playfulness, and humor, I create a safe and supportive environment for your child or teen to learn about their feelings, ways to develop effective coping strategies, learn the tools to increase emotion regulation, and build interpersonal skills. It is important in my work as a therapist that we work together to move toward progress. I also encourage a willingness to be open, explore, and be challenged to increase awareness and gain insight. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I aim to make therapy as non-pathologizing as possible. I believe therapy can be a tool for when there is a need for extra support, and sometimes changes and stressors can lead to a negative impact in daily functioning. I strive to be culturally competent, LGBTQIA+ affirming, body positive, and anti-racist both in my personal and professional life to create a warm, safe, accepting environment for everyone.
