About My Clients
I welcome clients with a variety of backgrounds and concerns. I have journeyed with clients navigating grief, trauma, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, perfectionism, and other mental health concerns. I have completed EMDR training and attended Clinical Work with the Suicide Bereaved training. I am an LGBTQ+-affirming counselor. Additionally, as a counselor with chronic pelvic pain, I have a special place in my heart for clients with this experience.
My Background and Approach
My approach is grounded in relational-cultural theory and trauma-informed counseling. I have worked with survivors of complex trauma, sexual violence, and grief. These experiences can result in feelings of shame and isolation. For this reason, my practice centers on healing through connection. I emphasize your safety and empowerment throughout the counseling process. I meet you where you are with warmth, non-judgment, and even a little bit of humor.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Life can be messy—and by messy, I mean painful and joyous and everything in between. Counseling can provide a space where you feel seen, supported, and validated through it all.
