Strong human relations and connections are the hallmark of good mental health. Unfortunately, sometimes the people we love the most, get our worst because we know they can take it and not leave us. There must be a better way. In our work together, we will explore new ways of being a supportive friend, partner, and/or parent.

I am particularly interested in the connection between psychology and spirituality. if you find yourself searching for something more or feel like there is something important missing in your life, developing a spiritual perspective can help. Within this perspective is the notion that we come to this life to learn and grow. All that is presented to us is here to help in this process, the so-called "good" and "bad".

I have been involved in Men's Healing work for over 35 years. My practice is dedicated to helping men learn and grow to communicate and connect with the people in their lives. Much of the work focuses on developing the skills to move beyond our anger and disappointments and into the more healthy aspects of masculinity.

ACT is a modality that is filled with helpful exercises that allow us to gain a better understanding of our mind, i.e., the voice in our head. By exploring this critical aspect of our well-being, we can begin to explore our "inner life". It has been said that it is not the things that happen to us in life (our outer life) that cause us happiness and distress, but how we respond to these things.

Many men feel more permission to express anger than any other emotion. However, underneath the anger is almost always a feeling of hurt, resentment, or disappointment. In our work together we will explore the triggers of your anger, as well as more healthy and constructive ways to manage it.

As a transpersonal psychologist, I believe that each person possesses the life force to heal and guide their life. I am a guide, not a problem solver. I learn and grow from performing therapy as much as the people I work with. I strive for authenticity, vulnerability, and connection with the people I work.
